Privacy Policy

Votive turns an iPad into an event video guestbook. Videos, photos, event names, prompts, settings, and exports are created and stored on your iPad. They are not uploaded to Votive by this website or by the app experience described here.

The website does not currently include account sign-up, checkout forms, newsletter forms, analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or cookies set by Votive.

If you contact us for support, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address, device details, and message contents.

Votive is distributed through the App Store. Apple processes App Store downloads, purchases, refunds, taxes, and payment details under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. Votive does not receive your full payment card details.

Support messages are used to answer questions, troubleshoot issues, improve Votive, and keep basic records of our conversation.

Content recorded in Votive is yours to review, delete, save, AirDrop, export to Photos, or transfer through Files from your iPad.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate support or email, with Apple for App Store purchase and distribution functions, or when required to comply with law or protect rights and safety.

Recordings and event data remain on your iPad until you delete them or remove the app. Support messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed for support, business records, and legal obligations.

To request deletion of support information you sent us, contact us through our support page.

We collect business name, business email address, website, city/country, and the public page where we found the address.

We get this information from publicly available business websites and listings.

We use it to tell wedding vendors, including audio guestbook rental companies, about Votive's Business Pack.

Our legal basis is legitimate interests (UK/EU), implied consent from conspicuous publication (Canada), and inferred consent (Australia).

We keep this data until the business opts out, or 24 months after our last email with no reply.

To opt out, reply "no thanks" or use the unsubscribe link in any email. Email [email protected] to see, correct or delete the data. You have the right to complain to your local regulator, including the ICO in the UK and the CNIL in France.
